DualForce™ Ring Forceps

DualForce™ Ring Forceps

Engineered for more than just tight contacts, DualForce is a complete matrix system designed for use with all Class II composite restorations. The DualForce System consists of clinically and technologically advanced Rings, Active-Wedges, and Ultra-Wrap Matrix Bands.

Description

  • Prevents overextension and Ring fatigue during placement.
  • Properly angled engagement tips that match DualForce Rings for easy placement.
  • Thick gauge steel for added stability.
  • Fits virtually all hand sizes.

Deep Class II pre-molar preparation.

DualForce Punch Pliers pinch and grip the matrix’s occlusal tab allowing for easy placement of the matrix band.

The Active-Wedge tip collapses during the insertion for easy placement, then re-expands when fully seated, regaining full contour for an improved matrix band seal.

DualForce Rings are easy to expand, yet provide more separation force once placed. DualForce Rings adapt intimately in the embrasure area.

Once seated, the DualForce Sectional Matrix System provides a complete gingival seal with a tight vertical seal of the matrix band along with a strong and stable separation force, resulting in less chance of composite flash.

Total-etch, G5 Desensitizer and MPa Max Adhesive provide outstanding bond strength and dentin/enamel seal. Evanesce (shade A1D) Restorative Material is incrementally placed into the preparation.

Evanesce composite adapts to the internal surfaces of the preparation with excellent packability using the REJ #10 posterior non-stick instrument.

Once the restoration is fully cured, DualForce Punch Pliers may be used anywhere along the matrix band to perforate it for a secure grip and easy removal.

Diamond impregnanted A.S.A.P. Pre-polisher (10-15 seconds) and Final High Shine polisher (10-15 seconds) quickly results in a beautiful luster.

Final esthetic restoration that mimics natural form and function.

First increment of Evanesce Restorative material adapted to include Ultra-Wrap’s pre-contoured occlusal lip, establishing an ideal rolling marginal ridge.

Evanesce composite adapts to the internal surfaces of the preparation with excellent packability.

Evanesce is easily sculpted with no slumping, efficiently and effectively establishing the ideal occlusal anatomy before the final curing.

The A.S.A.P. Pre-polisher gently diminishes small surface defects without affecting anatomy.

FAQ

How do I prevent the DualForce ring from popping off the tooth?2019-04-08T15:22:49-04:00

Ensure that the DualForce Ring is fully seated by gently pressing down on the plastic separating prongs (never directly on the dual NiTi rings) once it is placed on the tooth.

How do I prevent the plastic on the rings from breaking?2019-04-08T15:23:49-04:00

Ensure that the proper sterilization temperature and method are being used.
It is recommended to use a steam autoclave at 273
oF only.

Ensure that the ring is expanded sufficiently to avoid premature contact of the separating prongs with the tooth as it is being seated.

Are there any tips for placement?2019-04-08T15:24:12-04:00
  1. Approach the tooth with the expanded ring at a 45o angle.
  2. Place the separating prongs as close as possible to the gingival crest and gently press down on the plastic to ensure that it is fully seated. The dual NiTi rings themselves should never be manipulated as this will cause the separating prongs to shift.
  3. DualForce Rings are designed to sit at a 20o angle to allow for nesting of a second ring, to avoid a rubber dam clamp, and to clear an adjacent prominent cusp.
